We, the Igbo-Biafra Nationalists and the Indigenous People of the Igbo Nation for Self-Determination, strongly advise the Southeast Governors’ Forum (SEGOF) to demonstrate unyielding commitment to sustainable development and responsible governance. Failure to do so will result in facing the consequences when the masses, in righteous indignation, rise in revolt against you.
The Southeast Governors’ Forum commendably realigned its focus on youth leadership, development, and value reorientation. The strategic youth summit held in Enugu on July 5th, which involved experts and mentors, was a crucial step towards equipping Southeast youth for future challenges. However, we want the organizers of this just-concluded program to realize that Igbo youths are now set to force them to do the right things by all means, including vigorously revolting against their negligent acts. This includes ignoring our issue-based ideas designed to address the concerns of ordinary people in Igboland and recklessness in their performance as government officials. If after this meeting they continue to undermine our proposals and play to the gallery, there will be consequences.

This memo is a stern warning! Get ready! Igbo youths are prepared to take this protest against bad governance to the next level. Consider that the upcoming “End Bad Government in Nigeria 2024” nationwide 10-day protest, scheduled to take place from August 1st to 10th, will unfold in ways you cannot imagine, particularly in the Southeast region/Igbo-Biafra territory. All government officials in Alaigbo are targets and must begin to take appropriate actions now, or face the consequences.
SEGOF must urgently tackle the growing insecurity that has driven many wealthy Igbo people to relocate their investments outside the region. Over 70% of Igbo investments are currently outside Igboland due to unfavorable economic conditions. SEGOF is charged with formulating comprehensive strategies to create a stable and secure environment, encouraging investments to return to the Southeast.
We emphatically condemn the terror activities of IPOB’s Eastern Security Network (ESN) and the so-called Unknown Gunmen, along with other crony organizations that falsely claim to fight for Biafra. These groups, while professing to champion the Igbo cause, are responsible for heinous acts of violence against our own people. They kill and maim Igbo sons and daughters, spreading fear and chaos within our communities.
Their actions are a betrayal of the Igbo struggle for self-determination and dignity. The atrocities they commit not only harm innocent civilians but also tarnish the legitimate aspirations of the Igbo people. By denying their crimes in the media, these groups add deceit to their list of offenses, further destabilizing the region and undermining the trust of the people.
SEGOF must take decisive action against these criminal elements. It is imperative to restore peace and security in the Southeast, allowing our people to live without fear and ensuring that our collective aspirations are not hijacked by violence and criminality.
Our collective vision is rooted in sustainable development, human rights, and responsible governance. Sustainable development is a moral imperative, requiring a balanced approach that considers current and future needs, encompassing economic growth, environmental stewardship, and social inclusion. SEGOF is mandated to adopt and implement policies that promote these principles, ensuring a resilient and vibrant Southeast.
The lack of essential infrastructure, such as international airports, seaports, superhighways, and rail systems, has significantly hindered the Southeast’s economic growth. SEGOF must prioritize the development of these infrastructures to enhance connectivity and economic activities in the region.

Reminder of the South East Economic Summit Report:
We remind the stakeholders of this all-important summit and the general Igbo public that the reports of last year’s South East Economic Summit hold solutions to many of our core challenges. These reports must be retrieved, and the implementation of their resolutions must begin with seriousness and determination. The insights and recommendations from that summit are crucial for addressing our socio-economic challenges and must not be overlooked.
Every political representative in the Southeast must heed this mandate and commit to the principles that will secure a prosperous and just future for all. The time for action is now.
Signed:
Spokesperson,
