RE: SOLUDO’S ADOPTION OF PRESIDENT BOLA TINUBU FOR 2027 — A RECKLESS ABANDONMENT OF IGBO POLITICAL DESTINY

The Indigenous People of Igbo Nation for South East Self-Determination (IPINS) and the Igbo-Biafra Nationalists (IBN) reject in totality and condemn without reservation the recent declaration by the Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, wherein he publicly announced that the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has adopted President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as its presidential candidate for the 2027 general elections.

Is SECESSION The ONLY Solution For The South-East Region?

This declaration, made on Thursday, May 8, 2025, represents not only a betrayal of the founding vision of APGA, but also a clear insult to the political intelligence and aspirations of Ndi Anambra and the entire South East region.

Let it be remembered that APGA was not founded as just another political party. It was birthed as an ideological offshoot of the Biafran cause — a platform to give political voice and dignity to a people historically subjugated, marginalized, and massacred for demanding fairness and equity in Nigeria. The mission was clear: produce an Igbo President, resist political second-class citizenship, and protect Igbo identity in the Nigerian union.

South East Region DEMANDS a Fair Say in Their Future!

Today, under Soludo’s leadership, APGA is not only abandoning this noble mission but actively seeking to subvert it by aligning with the very structures that have systemically worked against Igbo emancipation.

SOLUDO MAY BE DOING WELL BY CAPACITY, BUT HE IS FAILING BY CONSCIENCE

We acknowledge that Governor Soludo has done remarkably well in governance, infrastructure, and economic initiatives in Anambra. However, in matters of political conscience and ideological loyalty, he has taken a ruinous path. No amount of physical development can compensate for the betrayal of a people’s future.

30 Days in SouthEast Nigeria EXPOSED the SHOCKING ECONOMIC Reality!

Adopting Tinubu — a Yoruba President barely halfway through a controversial tenure — over the more urgent and justified aspiration of an Igbo presidency in 2027 is the height of insensitivity, misjudgment, and political misalignment. It is a slap in the face of Biafran martyrs, Igbo elders, and the growing youth movement yearning for political restoration.

A WARNING IGNORED: NDIGBO WILL NEVER ACCEPT IMPOSED CANDIDATES

This declaration by Soludo is coming just weeks after we issued a stern warning to all Igbo politicians plotting to force Yoruba or any other candidates on our people under the guise of party alliances, political coalitions, or regional compromise. Let it be made clear again: no Igbo politician, no matter how powerful or popular, has the mandate to speak for Ndigbo in supporting any presidential candidate outside the Southeast in 2027.

Governor Soludo may claim to speak for APGA — but he does not speak for Ndi Anambra, and certainly not for Ndigbo.

NDI ANAMBRA ARE WISE — 2027 WILL PROVE THAT

We consider Governor Soludo’s announcement as a mere political statement — lip service made under pressure or ambition. It will backfire. When the time comes, and the true son of the soil — Mr. Peter Obi — returns for 2027, the people of Anambra and the South East will demonstrate clearly where their hearts lie.

Top 3 Alarming Trends in Nigeria’s Igbo-Biafra Region You Need to Know

Soludo’s alliance with the APC in Anambra may appear strategic, but when it attempts to translate into votes for Tinubu in 2027, it will insult the sensibility of Ndi Anambra. With due respect, we now call on the people of the South East to make a clear and public distinction between APGA as a political party and Ndi Anambra as a people.

OUR POSITION REMAINS UNCHANGED:

* We demand an Igbo presidency in 2027 as the minimum condition for political justice.

* We reject all forms of disguised subjugation under any name — be it APGA, APC, or SEDC.

* We reaffirm that Ndigbo shall not be led into political captivity by their own sons.

Governor Soludo must remember: it is better to walk alone in honor than to dine with power in betrayal.
